About Us

In 1988, Creative Outdoors Designs began as a small family business that built its first wooden playground structure for a client in Leesville, SC.

From there, the company built playground equipment for schools, apartment complexes and eventually landed its first military contract with Fort Meade U.S. Army base in Maryland. As the business expanded beyond South Carolina’s borders, Creative Outdoor Designs continued to manufacture high quality playground equipment locally at its Red Bank, SC facility until 2000.

Today, Creative Outdoor Designs offers full-service playground and fitness equipment, shade structures and surfacing to a diverse array of clients throughout the Southeastern United States as well as many international markets. Our supplier, Superior International Industries and its subsidiary companies are the world leaders in the playground equipment and park shelter industry.
